Order

The following options are available for preparing Russian certificates and civil registry documents for foreign institutions.

First option

The document is translated into the required foreign language, after which the translation is notarized.

The translation is attached to the original document or to a photocopy thereof.

Second option

A notarized copy of the original document is made, then the translation is prepared and notarized.

The translation is attached to the notarized copy of the civil registry certificate or record.

Third option

A notarized copy of the original document is made, then translated into the required foreign language, the translation is certified by a notary, and the document is submitted for apostille at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

Fourth option

A notarized copy of the original document is made, the document is submitted for apostille at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, then it is translated into the required foreign language, and the translation is notarized.

Important! Always check with the host organization for document submission requirements.

A notarized translation will also be required to carry out the full consular legalization procedure. This applies to countries that have not signed the Hague Convention on simplifying the legalization of documents by means of an apostille (countries in Africa, Asia, and some in Latin America).
