In 2022, many international carriers left the market, and those that remained had to find alternative routes to meet the needs of clients sending documents abroad. Two companies that have continued to operate in this area are Russian Post and DHL.
We generally recommend using DHL. While it is more expensive, it remains the fastest and most reliable option available.
Shipping via Russian Post costs approximately half as much, but the delivery times are significantly longer. Furthermore, to be honest, their reputation for consistency is not as strong as that of private carriers.
Case Study: Delivery to Rome, Italy
Let's look at an example of shipping documents from Russia to Rome, Italy:
- DHL: 13,500 rubles (price as of October 21, 2025) with a delivery time of 5 business days.
- Russian Post (Registered Mail): 880 rubles with a delivery time of 19–24 days.
- Russian Post (Express Courier): 4,500 rubles with a delivery time of 11–16 days.
