The following options are available for translating a power of attorney.

First option:

We translated the document into a foreign language, after which we had the translation notarized. The translation is attached to the original power of attorney or to a photocopy thereof.

Second option

We translate the document into the language of the destination country, have the translation notarized, and submit the document for apostille at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

Third option:

First, we have the document apostilled at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, then we translate it into a foreign language and have the translation notarized.

Important! Always check with the host organization for documentation requirements. That way you won’t make any mistakes and will prepare the documents exactly as required by foreign institutions.

A notarized translation will also be required to carry out the full consular legalization procedure. This applies to countries that have not signed the Hague Convention on simplifying the legalization of documents by means of an apostille (countries in Africa, Asia, and some in Latin America).
