The law provides for the possibility of divorce through the civil registry offices by mutual agreement of the spouses. In this case, the possibility of contesting the divorce is absent, since it is assumed that the spouses, when submitting the relevant request, were acting voluntarily and conscientiously.

Furthermore, in the event of the lack of consent of one of the spouses, the law provides for the possibility of judicial divorce.

In the event of a divorce by court decree, the law provides for the possibility of contesting the decree within one month from the date of issuance of the final decree (paragraph 2 of Article 321 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).

There are situations where one of the spouses learns of the court's ruling on the dissolution of the marriage many years after it was issued.

In this case, the law provides for the possibility of restoring the deadline for challenging the court's decision on the dissolution of marriage (Article 112 of the Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation).

Therefore, it can be deduced that in the event of a judicial dissolution of marriage, the relevant court ruling can be contested even many years after its issuance.
