Russian document legalization for Poland is a necessary procedure for documents to be deemed valid on the territory of Poland.

Usually, in order to legalize Russian documents in another country, either full consular legalization must be completed or an Apostille needs to be stamped on the document. An Apostille is an option if the country that issued the document and the country of the host party recognize this simplified legalization mechanism and have signed the Hague Convention.

According to the Hague Convention, Russia has recognized the apostille since 1992 and Poland has recognized it since 2005. But you should also keep in mind that Russia and Poland signed a “Legal Assistance and Legal Relations for Civil and Criminal Cases” Agreement on September 16, 1996 (which went into effect on January 18, 2002).

The Agreement states that documents from Russia intended for use on the territory of Poland do not require legalization. All you have to do is complete a translation and notarize it.

We can translate any documents you need from Russian into Polish and get them notarized. We can also obtain duplicate documents from the Civil Registry Office, the MIA, and other documents that you will need for your move abroad.

Write us or give us a call. We will be happy to help you and answer any questions that you may have!
