The holiday begins as of the second new moon after the December 21st Winter solstice. In 2025, that day falls on January 29.

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a time of vivid colors, incredible traditions, and universal jubilation. It’s celebrated on a grand scale, beyond just in China itself – in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore.
