Can a legal entity be registered at the address of an apartment hotel?

In registering a legal entity, the filer must indicate the genuine address where the legal entity’s executive office permanently operates. Current laws allow for the founder's residential address to be used for a legal entity’s registration.

By law, there is no such concept as an apartment hotel. Under article 16 of the Residential Code of the Russian Federation, there is an exhaustive list of properties categorized as residential premises. Apartment hotels are not part of this list. Thus, apartment hotels are in the category of commercial properties.

The procedure for registering a legal entity at an apartment hotel’s address is no different from registering a legal entity at any other commercial premises.

Doing so will require a rental agreement (a guarantee letter upon the legal entity's original registration) or documents proving the founder’s ownership of it.

The consent of the owners, as in the case of registering a legal entity at a residential premises, is not required.

The main requirement is that the address must be correct. In other words, the sole executive office must indeed actually operate there.
